The operation consisted in the resection of the head and upper end of the shaft of the left humerus, and replacement by the head and about 4 inches of the shaft of the patient's left fibula.

Technique. With the patient in the dorsal position upon the author's fracture-orthopedic table, the left arm was elevated at right angles to the trunk.
